外贸马拉松之赛前准备 Warm-up Exercise of Foreign Trade

你造吗?外贸其实是个马拉松比赛,我们大家都可能成为短跑冠军。而马拉松比赛则需要我们奠定坚实的基础,关注脚下的每一步才能冲向终点!但别忘了,任何比赛,其热身运动都很重要!做外贸也不例外!我们来看看以下这些热身运动你是否做了?
Do you know that foreign trade is like a marathon and we all may become a sprint champion? Marathon requires us to lay a solid foundation and then we can dash to finish line if we pay attention to each step! But don't forget that any warm-up exercise for event is very important! So does the foreign trade! Let’s take a look at the warm-up exercise and check whether you have done it?
1、邮件 Email
如果客户发来询盘 ,我们的回盘可以多写几封邮件给他. 第一是报价,第二是公司介绍。这样即使客户没看见第一封,还可以看见第二封。我们第二天还可以继续跟踪,第五天还可以跟踪,第十天可以打电话, 这些你做了吗?
If a customer send you an inquiry, you can write several emails to him as counteroffer. The first is quotation and the second is company introduction. So even if the customer does not read the first e-mail, he can read the second one. And we can continue to keep in touch with him the next day even the fifth day. We can give him a call on the tenth day. Have you done these yet?
2、样品 Sample
每次发样品的时候,把样品弄整齐,贴标签,拍照片,跟踪样品,客户收到之后立刻询盘情况,这些你做了吗?
When you send samples, put the samples in order and then attach tags, take a photo and track them. Ask customers about inquiries immediately after they receive samples. Have you done it yet?
3、签完合同 After signing the contract
一定要向客户索取邮箱,在线聊天工具,电话,手机,因为后期事情很多而且会很急,所以无论发生任何事情你都可以在第一时间找到他,这些你做了吗?
You have to ask your customers for email, online chat tools, phone and mobile phones number, because there will be many urgent things lately so you can contact them in a short time. Have you done these yet?
4、订舱和单证 Cargo booking and documents
订舱的时候,如果客户是第一次合作可以申请14天免柜期以防后期的不测。在我们的货物快完成之前,给客户发邮件询问收货人,通知方,货物描述,单证要求, 然后再将做好的所有单证的草稿给客户确认。单证好了之后,先让货代把扫描件给我们发过来。我们也可以第一时间向客户要余款。每次亲自检装,可以多拍点照片,若遇到同样的客户,我们可以有一些有力的证据。这些你做了吗?
When we book container, we can apply for free detention for 14 days to customers in case of accidents if this is the first time for our cooperation. Before finishing our goods, we should ask customers for the information of consignee, the notify party, description of goods and documentary requirement by email. And then prepare well all the drafts of documents to customer for confirmation. When documents are finished, let forwarder send us the scanned copy. We can also require customers to pay the balance immediately. Check the shipment every time in person and take more photos so that we will have some strong evidence when we meet the same kind of customers. Have you done these yet?
5、寄单证 Send documents
单证全部做完之后,把副本全部扫描给客户,发邮件问寄单据的地址,单据寄出之后 把快递单和要寄的单据拍照片给客户,这些你做了吗?
When we finish all the documents, send your clients the scanned copies and ask their address by email. After sending the documents, take a photo of the express paper and the required documents and send them to the client. Have you done these yet?
6、寄完单据 After sending out documents
在网上查询快递是否已经签收,发邮件给客户问下是否收到单据,并且在邮件下面标注。如:已收到,忽略这封邮件。这些你做了吗?
Check on the internet whether the documents has been received and send an email to the customer to ask him if he has received the documents. And then we can mark like this: ignore the email as you have received. Have you done these yet?
7、货物快到港前一周 A week before goods arriving at destination
提醒客户货物快到,请及时准备好清关文件。因为有的客户比较马虎或者他可能在出差或者旅游。这些你做了吗?
Remind customer of arrival of the goods and kindly require him to prepare documents for customs clearance in time, because some customers are careless or may be on a business trip or travel. Have you done these yet?
8、跟踪 Tracking
货物和海运费的涨价或降价都要询问客户,每隔一段时间就把客户之前需要的产品再报次价格。在各种节假日或客户的生日都要给他送上祝福。这些你做了吗?
Ask your customers whether the price of goods or ocean freight increase or reduce. You can quote the price of previous products again to your customers every once in a while. Send your best wishes to customers in each kind of holiday or at their birthday. Have you done these yet?
如果,你把这些事情做了,你会发现外贸并不是那么难。难的是我们只是把它当做赚钱的工具了,只盯着签合同的那一点而忽略很多该做的基本工作。所以认真做好热身运动吧,你会发现你也可以成为外贸冠军!
You will find it not very difficult to do foreign trade if you have done all these things. The difficulty is that we just use it as a tool of earning and just focus on signing the contract but ignore a lot of basic work to do. So do warm-up exercise seriously, you will find that you can be a champion of foreign trade!
